Marital Tools for Stronger Relationships

The marriage vow is a huge commitment to someone you love. Couples require tools to assist them in maintaining their relationship.

Developing empathy toward your spouse is crucial to an enduring marriage. Without it, conflict becomes difficult to resolve.

1. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an instrument that aids people to recognize their personality more clearly. It was created by Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, and it is based on the framework of the psychological theory of Carl Jung of personality types.

The test will ask you questions about your work and communication style. There are 16 types, so it’s essential to know your personal type.

The MBTI is a popular psychological test that can help you in your career. It will help you decide what type of job will best suit you. It can also be used to find a mate who fits your personality. However, don’t use this as your only way to make life decisions.

2. Honesty

Honesty is a tool for marital help communication that couples often employ to improve communication. It helps people feel more at ease in their relationships, and also encourages them to accept the other person’s view.

Honesty is the ability to accurately reflect one’s inner states and intentions both in private and public. It also involves the commitment to speak the truth, even when it causes someone else pain or discomfort.

It has been demonstrated that honesty can boost the quality of life and decrease stress. Lying can lead to many physical and mental problems.

When people lie they release cortisol into their bloodstreams, which causes stress and can lead to memory loss. Furthermore, lying can be stressful for those telling lies because they must keep the track of many lies and remember which are false.

3. The Five-Point Agreement

ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) reached agreement last year on a five-point plan to end violence in Myanmar that has claimed lives of more than 6,000 people. The plan called for immediate action to end the violence, dialogue among all parties and the appointment of a special envoy as well as the opening of humanitarian aid to ASEAN.

Since the agreement was made however, the junta has not shown any willingness to implement or cooperate with the plan. It has instead ramped up an aggressive crackdown to stifle opposition to its rule.

The junta’s intransigence and inability to adhere to the five-point plan have revealed cracks in ASEAN, leading to calls for Min Hlaing to be barred from future summits. This has also prompted a call for specific sanctions against the junta for not adhering to the agreement, APHR said.

4. Communication

Communication is a method to assist couples in building bonds of trust. It helps couples get to know each more deeply and share the struggles of life.

Many couples in marriage struggle with healthy communication. They exchange a variety of information between them about who’s going where but rarely dive into the conversations that really matter to them.

A clear and precise language is the best way to communicate effectively. Include your body language and voice inflection. This will help ensure that your words and the understanding of your partner are constant.

Although communication can be a challenge to master, it’s possible. Although it takes some effort and time to create a stronger, happier relationship with your spouse, it is worthwhile. These tools are simple to use and can help improve marital communication and keep it moving in a positive direction.
