The Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2023

The year 2023 is the most anticipated event for horror movie lovers. Several successful horror film sequels will be released soon, as well as the latest horror films by famous horror directors. Here’s the list:

1. Infinity Pool

David Cronenberg might be the master of body horror. But his son, Brandon Cronenberg also has the same talent. Brandon has presented a number of captivating films in the last decade. He will soon be bringing another chilling story to the Infinity Pool.

Scheduled for release on January 27, 2023, the film’s first trailer suggests writer James Foster (Alexander Skarsgard) accidentally kills someone on vacation with his wife, Em (Cleopatra Coleman) and is sentenced to death for the crime. Other guests at the resort have seemingly different approaches to life and death. James paid a lot of money for a replacement clone to be executed. Since this is a Cronenberg film, it is not for the faint of heart.

2. Knock at the Cabin

Some time ago, M Night Shyamalan’s film, originally titled Old, has just been released in theaters, but he has returned with another intense horror film with a simple premise in the film, which will be released on February 3, 2023.

Knock at the Cabin follows Andrew (Jonathan Groff) and Eric (Ben Aldridge) living in a remote cabin with their daughter Wen (Kristen Cui), when four strangers break in and take them hostage. They demand that the family must make horrible decisions to avoid the apocalypse. The first trailer shows Dave Bautista leading the group, though not understanding why or how, they learn about the impending apocalypse.

3. Winnie the Pooh: Blood plus Honey

Many are curious about the film Winnie the Pooh: Blood plus Honey, which is scheduled to be released on February 15, 2023. This cinema tells the story of Winnie and Piglet who carry out a massacre when Christopher Robin goes to college.

They were angry because they thought Robin was letting them starve. It’s worth pointing out that the two main actors in the film are basically just actors wearing masks, not the real giant yellow bear and his pig pal.

Even though it came out strange, that’s what the director Rhys Waterfield wanted. He deliberately yearns to be in the weird and silliness in this film.

4.Scream 6

Paramount’s try again with Ghostface, Scream 6, is on its way. This time the story strays from the troubled City of Woodsboro, while the survivors of the 2022 Scream move to New York for a fresh start.

Unsurprisingly, their peace is interrupted by the arrival of a new Ghostface which starts another terror. Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) reunite with twins Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding). Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere will reprise her role as Kirby Reed, to ensure that she survives the events of the sequel in 2011. Scream 6 will premiere March 10, 2023.

5. Renfield

Actor Nicolas Cage has experienced a renaissance in recent years following Mandy, Pig, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Furthermore, he will be observed as Dracula in Chris McKay’s Renfield which will be released April 14, 2023.

The film tells the story of one of the calculating’s henchmen, Renfield (Nicolas Hoult), who decides to stop working for vampires when he falls in love with traffic cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina) in New Orleans. This is more of a horror comedy, but it’s hard to deny that it has a great premise.
